WOW!! I know I am behind... please forgive me, but until more updates...
I was looking through old photos today, remembering just how much I LOVE fireworks! Even more than my surprising love of fireworks is my love to take pictures of fireworks... and castles (when possible,) but really just fireworks. Here are a few that I found.
I'll update soon!! Lots to blog about, I'm a few trips behind!
UNTIL I POST AGAIN...

MAKEOVER MADNESS... GOING BOLD

This weekend Andy and I went to Tuscon to visit my cousin. While I was there she told me that she had a bag full of old jewelry that she needed to get rid of and asked me if I wanted anything. After trying on most all of it (all at the same time,) I picked out a few items. I picked out this super cute fetish necklace, and a few other things, even though it is not something that I would normally wear.
A little later in the day we decided that we would go to Target to look for a red shirt, but instead Andy found me a pair of super high platform heels on the clearance rack. Another find that was not typically me, but I decided that I have been wanting to have a little change. I have owned exactly 1 pair of heels, except dance and wedding shoes, and this is #2.
Today, we were able to drive home and still make it to church on time, and I wore my new look. Yay for being a little different sometimes!!

PROJECT: EYE EXAM
I know it has been a week, and here is what has been going on:
Saturday: I FINALLY updated the other blog. It has been a few months and Andy kept telling me to, I just wasn't ready. I pushed through the procrastination and just did it. Hooray for finishing projects!
Sunday: A new couple moved into the ward, so we invited them over! Hooray for new friends!!
After that I have worked ALL week! I was supposed to have yesterday off, but got called in. So much for finishing anything yesterday. Which brings us to today's project... an EYE EXAM!
After about 4 years without one, I finally went and got an eye exam! My vision had not really changed since I was a teenager until I started all the hormone therapy for in vitro. I kept telling Andy that my vision was getting worse and that I couldn't see as well, and he kept telling me I was crazy! The eye doctor sided with me and said I TOTALLY need glasses now. She also said it is VERY normal for your vision to change with hormones, and sometimes it goes right back to how it was and sometimes it changes for good, but she said I should be somewhat stable until we try again.
Target was having a special for their clearance frames and so we ended up buying me a pair of super cute sunglasses and then we got my glasses with the best lenses for $69. What a great deal! Since I will not be receiving my glasses for about 2 weeks, pictures will follow. Hooray for seeing better!!
HOPE TO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

ANOTHER RECIPE!!
So for the second day of my resolution, I decided to try and make Bajio's Green Chili Chicken Salad. They turned out AMAZINGLY well! It was a lot of different parts with a lot of work, but WELL worth the effort!! We loved it, and had friends over and they couldn't stop saying how great it was!! I'm so grateful for all the kind words and support!
BAJIO'S GREEN CHILI CHICKEN SALAD
SO YUMMY!! I picked up the recipe here from the AWESOME blog "Our Recipe Garden." They also were kind enough to post links to the recipe of the green chili chutney, and salad dressings.
HAPPY EATS!!

GREAT START!!
So on the first day of my new resolution, I searched my old Better Homes and Gardens Magazines for one of those recipes that I had thought, "I should try that." I found this recipe and decided to give it a try.
UNTIL NEXT TIME...
Slow Cooker Indian Chicken Stew
It actually tasted pretty good, but I tired of it quickly. Also, I did add the spinach which they said was optional and I wasn't a huge fan of that. Here's the bottom line... Would I make it again? Probably not, but I am glad I tried it!
Like my new graphic? It represents 3 1/2 stars.
A NEW BEGINNING...
I know this is a little late for a "New Year's Resolution," but as I was thinking today about my craft room, that more looks like it has seen the likes of a natural disaster, I decided something. This year I would resolve to finish unfinished projects, or start (and finish) projects that I have been wanting to try. Be it recipes, decorating or just fun tutorials I have found and thought, "that would be fun!" I am going to give it a try...
So here's to a new year, a new start and hopefully some finished projects!!
My New Year's Resolution:
I WILL TRY AND FINISH A PROJECT OR TRY SOMETHING THAT HAS BEEN ON MY MIND OR TO DO LIST EVERY DAY THAT I HAVE OFF WORK!
Also, to go along with this new resolution of mine, I need to add (so my husband doesn't shoot me) that I will not neglect the house while off in project land.
So here's to a new year, a new start and hopefully some finished projects!!
KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED...
